Department of Juvenile Services operates a secure detention center for male youth at BCJJC. The detention center serves male youth primarily from Baltimore City. BCJJC provides dietary, medical, educational and counseling services as well as space for recreation. In addition to receiving services, youth residing in the detention center attend school within the facility year round, five days a week for six hours a day.
How To Visit
DJS welcomes parents, legal guardians, and grandparents to visit youth during visiting hours. Special visits can also be requested through the Facility Case Manager or Superintendent.

Wednesday – Youths charged as adults:
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Thursday – Youths:
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Sunday – Youths charged as adults:
12 PM – 2 PM
Sunday – Youths:
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
